Takeuchi Naoko
Takeuchi Naoko is best known for her manga: Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon (or recently re-translated to Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon). At Deep Submerge, we hope to provide a little bit more information into Takeuchi's other works for the interested visitor.Naoko was born on March 15, 1967. Many of her inspirations for her collection of manga are from her attendance of Kofu Ichi High School where she wore sailor suits to school and was a part of the astronomy and manga clubs. During this time, she became an avid manga artist, but was told to pursue a more stable profession by her father when the time came for college. Takeuchi decided to go to Kyoritsu University of Pharmacy and received a degree in chemistry and pharmacy. She is currently married to Togashi Yoshihiro, another manga artist (known best for his works YuYu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter). In 2001, Naoko and Yoshihiro had a son, whose name has not been disclosed, but is known by his nickname as Petit Oji.
