king endymion

Handsome and proud, Endymion has turned into a majestic king. As with Sailormoon, Endymion has also grown in maturity. In the past, he used to question his lack of power to protect Serenity. His generals told him that he must be strong and irreplaceable to the neo queen and he has worked hard to fulfill his right as king. As the born prince of Earth, Endymion's only known powers lie close to the source. When he touches the earth he is able to locate or find anyone or in his present day form he is able to some magical attacks. He also holds close ties to Chibiusa and Usagi, by lending his inner power to them when in a crisis.

When he first meets the senshi from the present, he admonishes Small Lady to give her formal introductions as a princess of the future. Yet, behind the facade of medals and awards that adorn him, he is still the sweet and faithful prince from the past. As king, Endymion feels as though he has failed Serenity again when she becomes encased in crystal during the Black Moon Clan arc. However, he hides his feelings and helps the present day senshi defeat the Black Moon. He holds the Golden Crystal that is a companion to Neo Queen Serenity's Ginzuishou.

Endymion from Greek mythology, was a handsome shepherd whom Selene, the Titan goddess of the moon, fell in love with. Selene asked Zeus to grant Endymion eternal youth so that he would never leave her. She loved Endymion's sleeping form so much, she asked Zeus to leave Endymion in eternal sleep.

outfit

King Endymion's outfit is quite similar to his present attire that mirrors a tuxedo with a cape. The vast difference is the color and ornaments.

Mask

King Endymion still wears his white mask, the same one he wore as Tuxedo Kamen. Sometimes this mask can be seen with extra white ribbons trailing behind his head.

Necktie

He retains the whole tuxedo outfit, except that it is now purple. King Endymion's neck is finished off with a white bow tie and the same elaborate ornament he had as Tuxedo Kamen, except it now hangs on a dark blue/purple ribbon.

Suit

Instead of the tradition black and white tuxedo outfit, King Endymion's outfit is purple with a trailing purple cape. He also shows off his medals on his jacket lapel. His tuxedo pants are also purple. You can again see the trailing cape from this image. In one scene, when Sailorpluto is dying, she notes how regal King Endymion looks in his purple cape. He also wears white gloves which were also seen on his former self, Tuxedo Kamen.

Staff

King Endymion's staff holds the Golden Crystal, which parallels Neo Queen Serenity's Ginzuishou. The staff reminds me of a lantern i.e. holding the light of the world.

Shoes

King Endymion shoes are tuxedo shaped dress shoes. It is unknown what color these shoes are. In the anime they are white; perhaps they are white in the manga as well.
